Anime Review - Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher

Don't let the image fool you... the anime is actually pretty good!

Hey people,

Time for another anime review and today I bring a bit of a mix. Who would of think a few years ago that one day Marvel would make such wonderful collaboration with a major anime studio like MAD House and make these awesome movies just for us fans. And yes this is a very cool anime indeed!

If you know MAD House, you know it's the same studio behind such anime hits like Ninja Scroll or Vampire Hunter D and this movie is no different in quality. Very cool fast scenes and great character action all the way. The down side is the story.

If you've seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier, you main not understand just why Black Widow isn't her normal ice cool self here. They tried a bit of romance with her and for me it just didn't make much sense but as for Punisher... Frank Castle never looked as good or as cool!

Side note. Punisher is and always will be one of the most (if not the most) badass character Marvel has ever created and also the one they all get wrong on live action films. On animation and comics he's just like above every other super hero cause well... he has no superpowers whatsoever but on the live action movies he just looks like a lump of meat with no brains shooting at everything.

For me, and until they get - and by "they" I mean Marvel -  that a movie of Punisher would have to be a Metal Gear kind of film, with giant mechs and a political, terroristic threat, this one is of the best ones with this amazing dramatic hero.

A 4 out of 5 for every Marvel and anime fan!
