DVD Review - Kubo and the Two Strings

Fortunately... the movie is a lot lighter than the poster!
Happy Holidays everyone,

And what better time than the holidays to review a new animation feature like this one. When we all thought stop-motion animation was dead and gone, here comes this new feature to prove us wrong.

Kubo is a wonderful folk tale set on ancient japan centered on a boy who lost his parents and is sent on a journey to reclaim is lost heritage. It's a wonderful, colorful, fun movie with enough gags and action to suit the whole family.

I'm inclined to say it's the best stop motion movie (for the holidays) since Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas - if you don't count any Aardman production of course.

It's a great movie that will make you smile, laugh and cry during this special season.

A Merry three out of five.
