The Division 1.8.1 - Banshee Classified Build


The Dark Zone,

Every The Division player holds the DZ in a special place of their hearts. Some, for good reasons, mostly - maybe - for other ones. I'm not gonna say I love the DZ and I'm a rock hard player on it, I'm going to say that the level of challenge on the DZ will defy most player on venture into it. I still feel most recurring player goes to the DZ for the Player Versus Player combat and - let's face it -  if the game gives an opportunity to troll, you'll probably troll! Me?! I rather just play and help others get in, get their gear, extract and get out. And, for anyone who plays the game, even that can be a challenge sometimes!

Intro

Everyone hates Banshee! The Banshee is the DZ specific build thats isn't really suited for PvP, if anything it's only good for one thing... farming. The classified Banshee set itself does provide some improvement in damage out of cover but (to be honest) the overall Rogue/Agent time to kill (TTK) is no where near other builds. It helps you farm, improves your rewards, builds your DZ level faster (I think) and doubles your DZ credits but, overall, I can't say it's a must have build. I like it simply cause it get's so much hate that taking down some Rogues with it gives me a special sweet underdog satisfaction. If you're looking to farm the Dz with a group or alone, give it a try. It might surprise you!

The Weapons

The House / Talents: Deadly + Destructive (or Unforgiving. I still haven't got one.)
▴ Loud Vent (CHD, CHC, HSD)
▴ Small Grip (CHD, Reload Speed, Stability)
▴ Extended Mag - (CHD, +5% Rate of fire)
▴ C79 Scope (CHD, CHC, Accuracy)

Lightweight M4 / Talents: Deadly + Predatory + Responsive
▴ SR7 Suppressor (CHD, CHC, HSD)
▴ Small Grip - Red (CHD, Accuracy, Stability)
▴ Extended Mag - (CHD, +5% Rate of fire)
CQBSS 8x Scope (CHD, CHC, Stability)

Double Barrel Sawed Off / Talents: Accurate + Predatory + Unforgiving

The House is almost a must have for any build on the DZ this one isn't the best but it's the best I have. You should use it for the first damage and use the M4/Sawed Off Predatory talent to finish off NPC's and recover health.

Health is a big issue on this build so keep your health up using talents from your secondary weapon and sidearm.

Gear Mods

▸ 4x (Stamina CHC) + 1x (Firearms CHC)
▸ 4x (6% Fist Aid Self Heal)

As you can see Health is the big "Achilles's Heel" of this build. In the DZ everyone can give you major damage (NPC's or Rogues) so you'll need to build up your health and keep it up as much as you can. The Firearms Mod is there to support for some of your TTK and you'll need at least one gear with Skill haste to help you with the Support Station cool-down time.

▸ Immunizer + Recovery Link + Scrambler (Team) / Booster Shot (Solo)

Talents

▸ Adrenaline + Critical Save + Strike Back + On The Move

Final Verdict

As stated before, for a Dark Zone build, the Banshee isn't really tailored for PvP and it won't make your life any simpler at PvE. However, if you can muster the patience and time and get yourself in a good team, it may provide some sweet painstaking rewards after. To be clear, I did most of my leveling up and DZ farming with this build and I do not regret it. I leave it for your consideration to give this one a try.
