Movie Review - Skyfall

Daniel Craig is back in the skill of the most famous britain secret agent in movie history, Bond... James Bond!

Hello again my fellow movie fans,

This time I bring you yet another great adventure by the most famous britain secret agent with Daniel Craig once more as the infamous, flirting and brilliant Bond... James Bond!

007 Returns to defend the Empire (that's Britain) from a former agent that threatens MI6 itself. You can expect all the things that make a great James Bond (JB) movie: James Bond, Bond girls, the new Walter PPK and of course a Martini - shaken not stirred.

The problem is in spite of all the ingredients of a good JB movie this doesn't feel like a JB movie or even a 007 movie, it feels more of a movie "with" JB than "of" JB. The pacing is all wrong, the vilain seems very smart until the last chapter - were he turns not so smart - and the all mood of the movie feels more like an "American Beauty" (AB) than a "Jason Bourne" flick (not to ditch AB but that's just not what we're looking for here).

Not enough guns, not enough gadgets, not enough action, not enough fights, it feel to much as a drama and less as a mad-tirant-conspiracy-to-take-over-the-world. I was frankly disappointed in this movie and left me a bitter sweet taste at the end.

On a plus note... the end itself is a good premise to star a fresh new Bond series. A more mature, more serious and more british flavored 007, and seeing as Daniel Craig has a deal for two more films I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Now, Sam Mendes... stick to drama and leave the action for the pros ok?! Thank you!

A 002 out of 005!
