News - E3 2013 Aftermath

With both Microsoft and Sony at each others throats it was time for Nintendo to shine through!

Well... Here we are!

After a year of waiting and a all lot of ink and digits about rumors and guesses, we finally arrive at E3. And this time this we're really fired up between Microsoft and Sony with both presenting new consoles, new systems and new games but I must say that the best surprise came in later...

So, let's start with Microsoft!

When we thing Microsoft, we think Xbox and Halo, and on that note I must say the console was presented in all it's VHS glory and a new Halo 5 was also shown (in a small trailer) to the public. The games were also something amazing to look at, especially the new Tom Clancy The Division - I must admit I was impressed.

The downfall of the new Xbox One was not on the games or the console for that matter .Although a lot of people didn't like the new design, what was more worse was the system. It somehow "forces" player to always be online, never turn off the console for more than 24 hours, it has blocked regions by console and games, and to had insult to injury... you cannot exchange games between consoles or player. Basically Xbox is "forcing" their way of selling games down our throat.

And this could of been all well and good if not only for... Playstation 4!

This guys stole the whole show this year. Not because the games were better or the console any greater then Xbox One. Technically they're both very similar but, on a system level, Playstation doesn't make have your console online, it permits multiple games from multiple regions (like PS3) and you can sell, trade games the way you want. In a nut shell... Playstation gives you more freedom to do what you want with your game and console. And that my friends was the sell out point!

Games like Final Fantasy XV, Project Destiny or Castlevania 2 - Lord of Shadows, will come out on both consoles (eventually), so it's not for a lack of games that we will chose one or another console. But because in PS4 you can do what you want and how you wanted, I'm guessing there won't be a lot of sales of XOne outside US.

To make matters worse for Micorsoft. Nintendo Announced Bayonetta 2 and a new Xeno-saga game on E3, which means more adult player can look for a Wii U as a next gen console as well. And believe me I am also!

Final result... Microsoft might just have sunken her own ship with this one and hurray for Nintendo!
