DVD Review - Jack The Giant Slayer

Having an hard time getting a flick for all the family? Well then... this is for you!

Hello fellow cinema lovers,

Today was movie day and I got this one that I missed at the theater (again)... Jack The Giant Slayer!

So, I'm guessing most of you know the story of Jack and The Beanstalk right?! Of course you do! Little guy from the farm, goes into town to sell a cow (or any other farm animal), trades in for some beans, the beans are magical and grow into a giant beanstalk (but of course they do), he climbs the beanstalk, finds a land where a giant lives, he defeats the giant, find riches and gold all over, comes down, cuts the beanstalk, lives happily ever after.

This is just like that little tale but this time with a little twist of war against all the giants that live up there on Giantland (don't look it up on Google, you won't find it). I must say that this movie (in 3D) must have been a very different experience still, in your own non 3D living room, it's a pretty good movie too. It's fun, funny, has a little big of magic and adventure and Ewan Mcgregor. And we all know every movie is better with him in it.

I must say that it's not an awesome movie and most "Disney" fans will be kinda disappointed the film being so dark sometimes but all and all a great sunday afternoon flick to watch with the family!

A most moderate 3 out of 5!
