DVD Review - Noah
It's not the best Russell Crowe we've seen... but it's still pretty good! |
You know... God wants to punish mankind and so he tells Noah to build an arc, bla, bla, bla, white dove and redemption?! Well, same story here but with a bit more mythological fantasy and not your typical white beard nice little old Noah that you've probably read before.
This is a very good, very visual, great cast and highly CG (Computer Graphics) high budget movie. The story is compelling and interesting - of course, after all it's the Bible - but unfortunately the movie stretches a bit too much for too long for something that we already pretty much know the outcome.
I liked Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly's performance in this one and I thing that the movie gains more by their presence than by the (awesome) CG involved. It's a good sunday afternoon flick that might interest the whole family to take a look, if nothing else, to teach us a more humble way of being around others and also on Earth... But I'm not saying everyone will enjoy it!
A modest three out of five.
