DVD Review - How to Train Your Dragon 2

Our peace loving village is threaten again. Gather the gang and grab your dragon! We ride once more! 

It's the weekend,

And on the weekend you don't wanna do anything! You just wanna sleep late, wake up, grab some cereals and get your morning cartoons on. For most people it's a bit like a childhood moment every week. It was on a saturday morning that I decided to watch this movie... and it made me feel like a kid again!

If you've already seen the first one like I did you get to meet all the dragon rider gang again and have an adventurous wonderful journey on the land of viking myst and magic. It's a fun movie, a good time for everyone and you'll be entertained for the whole picture with some amazing fights and gags.

However... (yeah sorry!)

This movie as a much less solid story than the first one. The introduction of new characters is not very good, almost like "Here's character X and this is her/his story in 2 minutes or less". Not only that the dragons well... they all look the same! Sure they have some diferences but even the bigger ones are absolutely alike! Which strike me as odd since on the first movie you already had a pretty awesome titan in the end of the movie. Here it was much the same and the story follows more the family reunion plot than a dragons and adventure plot.

Anyway, I guess all I'm saying is that I was more impressed with the first one than on this. Also the death of a pretty much loved character could (in my view) be avoided but maybe it will all make more sense on the third (already planned) movie.

A great cartoon movie that gets a three out of five cause it didn't top the first one!
