DVD Review - Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Yes it does... Unfortunately by that time the movie is over!

Dinosaur, who doesn't love a dinosaur? Every kid on earth loves them, and the fact that the Jurassic franchise keeps making movies about them should signal that the movies have done a pretty good job of entertaining audiences until now right? Well... yes.

Unfortunately, like all franchise movies, from Transformers to Fast and Furious, some movies work better than others and - I'm sorry to say - this movie just didn't work for me!

To start with you're back to an island full of dinosaurs, again. No problem here since almost all movies from the Jurassic world either start or end in some remote island. But this time that's only half the movie... the good half!

The other half the movie takes a turn to the dark and you're mostly on what looks like the haunted house of dino's where the characters just run, hide and flee from almost everything and everyone they encounter, leaving the audiences just sit there while they encounter yet another direction to run most of the time. The movie kinda tries to take a turn for the genetical military dino technology but it all just comes out vague and not really engaging for us to have any interest or fear.

In the end we're left with what could be a good premise for a World War Dino (or Jurassic) but it remains to be seen if that's what the producers or studios want for this franchise. All in all, I enjoyed beautiful money shots of the journey/escape on the island, after that just pure trash not worth the re-screening a second time.

A jurassic step-back and a two out of five for this one.
