DVD Review - The Man with the Iron Fists

The movie that had everything to be the next Tarantino bust... got smacked by the director!

Hey gang,

Back to another great review for a not so great a movie. I must say that I was intrigued by this movie from the very start. It seem to have some nice ingredients to a great Kung-Fu Tarantino action movie but it kinda lack something... a good director.

You know the saying "a bad chef can ruin a good soup"? That's what happen here. RZA is by no means a movie director. I mean he tries good enough but he should have begun with something smaller and then work his way up to something of this magnitude.

The actors are good. Lucy Liu and Russel Crowe owned their parts and technically all the departments are in sync but the way that the story and the editing are done just ruins the whole premisse of the movie.

This is was of those movies that if it was done in China by chinese people we would let some mistakes slide but being a Tarantino branded movie... we'll we just can't!

Still I liked the Bautista in the movie and the action fantasy aspect of it.

For the effort... I'll give it a 3 out of 5!
