News - XBOX One

Wanted to see what the new Xbox had in stored for us... wait till E3! Thanks Microsoft!

Hey guys,

And as I did to it's rival a few months back, now it's time for me to give my "two cents" on Microsoft new console reveal. In a nut shell... disappointment!

But let's start with the good news cause yes, there were some good news. First of we actually get to see what the console is gonna look like (something that we still have to wait till 10th of June to see) so one point awarded to house Microsoft. Then there was sports, lots of sports all from Electronic Arts so again (if you like sports) one point yet again. And finally, for the new Call of Duty, the most successful FPS to be around... another point.

Just to let you know these are GAME points. For the other stuff like the "talk to" tv and the new Halo series by Steven Spielberg as good as they may be, they are not games but spin-offs of exciting stuff.

Now for the downfall - and boy did they to fall. The console design is just too retro to be called a next-gen console. It looks more like a old VCR from the first Nintendo age than a new gaming console. The remote changed slightly but not so much that we can actually say "Hurray a new remote!"

The games are fine (if you like sports) but besides that no major developer or game was shown (except Call of Duty 4 - Ghost) and let's face it, more sports and more Call of Duty aren't exactly what we were expecting. But by far the worse part were no actively gameplay what so ever.

PS4 at least had the decency to show the new possibilities of the PS Move (rubbish I know but it was something) and Microsoft had nothing. All the did was show how good it would be to watch tv on this new console with some guy form NFL saying "Oh... it's gonna be awesome" sure... if you live in north america! Rest of the world... who cares?

So... not many games, not many news and at the end "We'll see you at E3 for more stuff!"

I feel they should have waited till they could actually show some in game play and new games or the functioning console. I mean didn't they learn anything form the PS4 presentation. They had to beat that!

My final opinion... they failed and the stocks of Sony went up. I guess that pretty much says it all!
