DVD Review - Lucy

Scarlett Johasson is back to action movie

Hello friends,

Back again for reviews, critics and fun for all you guys. To start today I have a movie that has a special flavor than most action movies... Lucy.

As we all know Hollywood is the best, biggest, most awesome (and efficient) money movie making machine in the world. Having said that, Europe sometimes makes a try at this. Not with big money, cause it really can't compete with US on that level, but with a something different, a different flavor, a somewhat "out-of-the-box" story and lost and lots of smart and intelligent script. Lucy tries - again - to do just that!

Luc Besson has been the only director/producer that has had some relative success bringing some new ideas to an almost "unoriginal" Hollywood and Lucy not only feels different it even tries to teach us something while entertaining.

The evolution of man, it's consequences on humanity and on society, how our brain and minds works it all carries a bit into this movie and it's a real refreshing theme to see in a action movie. Of course Morgan Freeman, know also for doing narrative work on documentaries, makes a great job at taking us through some of the most complex science theories known today.

As for Scarlett, nothing new here. She's the always awesome Black Widow and the part fits her perfectly.
