DVD Review - Zero Dark Thirty

Believe me... I'm showing you the best part of the movie right here!

Hey guys,

Welcome back to another weekly fun and games with movies and my humble, honest (somewhat funny) opinion. And this time we have a runner up at the Oscars of 2013, the story of finding and killing "the most wanted terrorist in the world"... Zero Dark Thirty!

Ok, first off we don't get to see the whole story on the 911 bombing, or the Osama Bin Laden controversy on the matter. For the most part the movie is: the bombing happen (I guess we can all testify to that), Osama is named culprit on the bombing (well... maybe) and the US military found him and killed him on a complex on Paquistan (no one can verify that cause it's all very hush hush Top Secret stuff).

So now the movie.

For the most part it's the story of a CIA agent named Maya and her compulsive (sometimes neurotic) pursuit of Osama Bin Laden. She will stop at nothing until she either finds him or kills the so called most famous terrorist. And that's just a bit sad really! I mean she takes on a lot of allies but she even goes against senior officers and colleagues to try get her mission done. Wich, in some sense, makes her a kind of a bitch that no one can stand or wants around.

Then the whole premise of the movie gets a bit out of line when (for the most part) we don't even get a real sense of how or why the US found him (using torture) and even had a clear certainty of the blame on Osama.

Having said that... I did like the night mission part! One of the most well filmed and tense moments in the movie. It almost saves the whole thing actually!

In a not shell, don't get a women pissed cause she will never stop finding you and put a bullet in your skull... even if she's not to sure its actually you!

An oscar worthy 3 out of 5!
